of mine, and I really enjoy shaping pieces of wood into furniture and other handy things. I'll post pix of some of my creations here for all to see. Here's a piece I recently completed for my wife, I call it an Apothecary Box. Has nine small drawers, measures about 14 inches high by 14 inches wide by 12 inches deep. She uses it to hold some necklaces, bracelets and bangles. Made from some old pine boards recycled from shelving materials in the basement of an old office building. from Los Angeles, California, up to Barstow and Needles, then crossed over into Arizona and stopped at Flagstaff. Then went across to Albuquerque, New Mexico, headed south to El Paso, Texas and sailed across the vast West Texas desert. Ended up at Austin. Along the way, saw lots of amazing desert landscape. Sweeping. Varied. Alive. Truly picturesque. Didn't have my camera with me but I've found some images that approximate what I saw. Here's one such image.
here in Austin, Texas. We'll have no pimple-faced high school punk delivering OUR pizza in a broken down 1974 Pinto. No sir. We want our pizza fresh, and we want it now.
